"Alien Nine is featured in Buried Treasure!"

Buried Treasure is a running series of honors for anime that has become obscure by todays standards. Basically, if it appears there (and it's not listed as Buried Garbage - that's very bad!) 
, then it's like a nod of approval to the series and a reminder, or informer, of it's existence. Seeing as it's a column on anime news network dot com, (animenewsnetwork.com) it's a pretty well known and followed list for a lot of people, so this will undoubtedly do good things for Alien Nine, now that on September 17, 2009, it was added to the list!
The overview that the writer gives is very interesting to read, and proves to be insightful in my oppinion. For the most part, though, it's impossible to prepare yourself for what you're about to get yourself into when it comes to checking out Alien Nine.

If you like roleplaying, there's a bustling Alien Nine RPG going on at LiveJournal!
Our very own TheAdvisors, who is an administrator of the game, will be the person you will want to contact if you have any questions. You can contact him by sending him a private message via his crossrealms account (the one he has here in our forums) or through his LiveJournal account, also by private message.

Stumbled across this news, regarding an art sculpture in honour of Dudu Geva. Look familiar? 
Looks like the aliens are at it again! Watch out, it may let out a colossal quack and cause a sonic wave of nausea to spread across the city! As a Yellow Knife is supposedly good to eat, it seems fitting, as roast duck is on some peoples menus.

"Brand New Site, Oekaki & Forums"

Well, after a lot of work, its finally done! The site now has a completely new and more accessible look with a ton of new content.
Site Changes
Almost every page has seen new content of some kind in this update, but here is a breakdown for some of it:
- We now have a fanfiction section with fanfiction in it!!
- A whole heap of fanart, over 30 new illustrations!
- An immense pile of Music Videos added, pretty much almost every Alien 9 related music video or tribute video out there!
- A store section listing places where you can get the series.
- Story summary lists other recommended titles.
- More character profiles including Monami and lesser known characters.
- Info on event promotions for the anime on the Anime page.
- More details and images for the DVDs, Books and CDs in Products.
- A massive amount of new collectibles info in Products.
- More info and images in Voices as well as more links to other info pages.
- Production has been changed to Credits a long with more images and details.
- More links to reviews.
- Questions 1, 4, 12, 13, 17 updated a little.
- More quotes.
- Added a few more quizzes.
- Added new essays from Zucchini and a link to Kat's Alien 9 essay.
- A few more external links in the Links section.
- More cosplayers added.
- Animated avatars added.
- New Desktop Icons.
- New wallpapers and web graphics including stuff for your journals / blogs and a set of borg emoticons.
- New trailer added.
- More parodies added, taken from the forums.
- You can now adopt borgs.
- And much more!
Forum Changes
Also the forum has a new layout with multiple banners and a whole heap of new features which had been requested previously including:
- Borg emoticons! 
- Quick Reply (at the bottom of each thread).
- 7 New Ranks! As well as an option for a custom rank for dedicated fans.
- Spoiler Tags. Like any other forum tag, just wrap the text within spoiler tags. e.g. [-spoiler-]This is my spoiler[-spoiler-] (but without the - dashes).
- Different changing banners for the top which also links back to the main site.
- The front page now shows the latest topics and replies on the forum.
- This just makes the forum tidier but the forums now have shorter URLs / addresses for topics etc.
Oekaki Changes
- The oekaki board has been fixed and is brand spanking new with a more up to date version of the software and a shiny layout.
- The frontpage displays random activity from the oekaki board.

"Update regarding the spam >_<"

Just a quick update,so far so good on the spam front *fingers crossed*
No new spam bots have joined since the script was implemented so far. A series of spam posts was made but by a bot that had joined weeks ago. That bot has now had its account manually removed along with other spam-type user accounts hanging around that could of caused problems in future (e.g. spam urls in profile entries).
If you notice any glitches or have any trouble registering let me know.

Sorry for not being around so much recently guys. Been busy with a full-time job and starting my final year of University. But I hope to update the main site when I get chance.
But just to let you all know, I updated the script for the fanlisting so at least I can update it now without all that headache! After I cleaned out the robot spammers (ugh) we now have 100 members!! I've put the 100 member award on the Site page of the fanlisting. Also with the new script you can update your info etc.
I apologise for some spammers getting onto the forum (how ironic that they'd spam the 'stopping spammers' thread the most!). I had thought I'd stopped that but it seems a couple of sections still had old permissions. I've updated it now.
How are you guys by the way?
