| Post subject: | Alien 9 Desktop Theme |
| I've been looking around at www.topthemes.com and I was disappointed not to fine an Alien 9 theme for my desktop! Does anybody know where I can get one?! Or is anyone making one? I want to have the cute alien desktop icons and a cute little alien that follows my arrow everywhere.. or something.. I dunno. But I want an alien 9 desktop. I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you | |

| Thanks ragen45... I don't remember an Extras page being there last time I looked! Or am I being forgetful..... *salvages extras for site* As to the topic... I did make a couple of icons that are in the Downloads section and of course there is the Wallpapers section on the site too. And the screensaver that I salvaged from the old official Alien 9 site. Beyond that I can't reccomend anything. I've forgotten how to do icons and an animation that follows your pointer on your desktop sounds too complex for me I also don't know how to do loading / shutdown screens.... The sounds part might be easy if theres a place in windows you can just replace with. But really someone would have to look into desktop theme creation.... =\ I'm sure there is software that helps you create a theme though. I was thinking of doing a screensaver some day because I think it might be possible to do this with Macromedia Flash but I haven't looked into it yet. And I honestly and truly am buried under piles of work | |

| I already have a good wallpaper for my desktop... I just wish I had like... a whole Alien 9 computer theme. Sai, I tried downloading the icons that you created, but it didn't work on my computer for some reason x_X' I dunno. Maybe I didn't do something right. I don't really want a screensaver... but I'm sure many other fans would Thanks for the URL ragen! | |

| I guess the icons may be too old now and might not work Yeah a whole theme would be nice. I Googles and found this: Here I haven't the time to sort out one myself but it might be worth a look for you if you get chance. If you ever make anything let us know! | |

| I found a website where you can download a thing called Desktop Architect and you can create your own desktops themes!! I thought this might come in handy for those artistic ones out there who are pros at this kinda thing! http://www.themeworld.com/cgi-bin/previ ... /da211.zip | |

I attempted to make one and it sucks cause I can't convert images into the icons for the desktop and change the pointer lol so I was like "Screw it!"

| hey, it's been a little while, if i was here sooner I would've told you. To make icons, just save pictures with the extension .ico, and things that follow your cursor can only be done on websites, with the JavaScript code I have on mine. (I'll give it to you guys sometime else this week when I have it in a link on a post.) By the way, Sai, you can do screen savers and stuff with C++, a programming language, but it's actually kind of hard.(I only know JavaScript.) Thanks, bye! Oh, and that site looks cool, but I can't download zips or anything that might have viruses on it onto my XP. | |

Thanks, bye! Oh, and that site looks cool, but I can't download zips or anything that might have viruses on it onto my XP. Anyway, I tried saving icons with different extensions and they didn't work for me.
