My favourite character is Kumi Kawamura.
I like her character design and how considerate she is. Her strength and weaknesses were admirable and once she opened up and we could see all of what made her who she was, it really drew you closer to her. She looks very cool in action sequences and although Kasumi is even more lively during action, I felt that Kumi had a larger range of expressions which made her more attractive during those scenes. Well these are just some of the things that make her cool of course... I need more sleep my minds going blank

First person vote, so I'm now seeing a 100% for Yuri Otani now.

Now, for some explaination why I chose Yuri Otani as my favourite character.

Initially, I saw Yuri as an extremely emotional girl. She is really fragile and anything could set her into 'crying' mode. In fact, as compared to the other 2 firecrackers in the group (if you don't get what I mean, they are Kumi and Kasumi), Yuri would be the weakest link. Indeed, I was dying to strangle her when she threatened to start off another crying session. However, I soon realised if you were forced to do things you cannot cope with, you'll definetely shrink away from the challenge. As for Yuri, crying is her way of expressing her sadness or (perhaps?) anger, so I accepted her crying as a normal part of her. She works her magic silently throughout the 4 anime episodes that keeps Kumi, Kasumi, Miyu and her together. Notice how Kumi got used to Yuri's whinings and even developed some feelings for her *gasp*. I even began to pity her, seeing how much go-catch-that-alien assignments she was forced to do. In a way, I began to feel (rather) protective of her, even though she just a fictional character. That's how I got drawn to her. Of course, this doesn't mean I don't like Kumi or Kasumi either.

I chose Miyu, because, although I love Kumi because she's Kumi, and Kasumi because of "nyaa!", Miyu is that little sense of normality I can best relate to. She's a minor character, but you learn rather a lot about her despite that. Now, I've not read the manga, so my opinions are based solely on the anime, but I postively adored her in the anime. She was very patient with Yuri-- which to me, is an amazing feat, as I still often have the urge to mute the TV when Yuri starts wailing. Regardless, all in all, Miyu's meh fave charrie. .

I chose Kumi. And yes, I do remember that poll on the fanlisting site and how Kumi was winning way above like... everyone else. XD

I think it was like Sai said. She just seemed all quiet and keeping to herself at first, but as the series went on, we learned more about her and her weaknesses and strengths. She had opened up a lot more, especially around Yuri, and the more I learned about what was behind that cold exterior, the more I liked her.

I do actually like Kumi quite a bit. I think I chose her as my favourite character on that other.. poll.. thing. ..yeah.

I think Kumi/Miyu are both my favourites, depending on my state of mind at the time of voting.

Nice to see Miyu get a vote Like I said on the main website, I had to extend her profile beyond the super short official description, she deserves it Very supportive and always trying to cheer Yuri up.

Hmm... I agree Miyu is really cool too. She's really tolerant towards Yuri. And she has got an interesting hairstyle.

I agree, I like Miyu's comforting, helpful personality and her attitude towards Yuri. I want a best friend like Miyu. ;_;

shes kinda cute and I always wanted to protect her when I saw her crying (like Jinshen said), and of course I like the other charas in this series too.

Kumi. While Miyu was more concerned about Yuri than, say, Yuri's own mother, she still didn't do a whole lot.

I choose Kumi .
I was scared by her strong personality when I first met her.
Then , when I discovered her weakness , I found I am quite familiar with her. We both generate pressure by ourselves , make things complicated , and will be overburdened one day .
The next reason is her death . It really hurt me T_T
I swear , I will treasure every young , cute ,hopeful , potential , gentle lives >.<
