An Update!

A new Yuri fanlisting has been added to the Fan section, go and join! Poor Yuri needs support! Also the Kasumi fanlisting had moved and so its link has been updated in the same section.
Due to space and bandwidth constraints, the DVD screenshot gallery has had to be limited down to a smaller selection, enough to give people an idea of what the show looks like and hopefully encourage people to grab the series on DVD. Well worth getting the boxset if its still around. The gallery as it had been before was pretty overkill and was sucking alot of space etc. out of the site. Sorry for any inconvience.
I've update the wallpaper section with a new wallpaper to the Download area that was requested on the forum.
Just to let you know, the forum has been updated with new anti-spam measures. If the forum spam was keeping you away then fear no more, the new setup seems to be working a real treat this time. If you have any troubles signign up however then please email me.
From now on I strongly reccomend that visitors come check out the forum for updates. As time goes on I'm finding it incresingly difficult to find time to update the main site due to the amount of time involved with editing files. As such its alot easier to just post stuff that I find etc. on the forums. For things like new fanlistings and wallpapers etc. however or if something major comes up I will definitely try to update the main site to reflect the changes.
You don't need an account to view stuff on the forums so please drop by and see whats new. It would be greatly appreciated however if you could join up and chat with us all. We're a friendly bunch and happy to help.
Sorry that the Oekaki has been out of action for a long time now. I hope to get around to figuring out what went wrong in the script.

Guestbook Is Going To Die

OK... That's enough of that. The guestbook will be deleted soon. It is just becoming a spam and advertising mess. Thanks advert robots for messing it up :P I shall be spoiling your fun soon.
After I've deleted it I may eventually set up a guestbook that requires some kind of human verification before posting to stop spammers and advertisers wanted to get a few extra pence in their pockets by trashing others webspace with their rubbish!
Sadly free time is in short supply for me these days, hence the lack of updates. Sorry, I will try and update soon. But in the meantime, with regards to the guestbook, you can e-mail me feedback or post on the forum. I'd greatly appreciate it. Sorry for having to get rid of the guestbook.
The Borg Oekaki (Drawing Board)

a) I decided to forget about the Borg Quiz thing. Its still there but no longer required to be your first drawing. So from now on please just go ahead and get stuck in with drawing whatever random Alien 9 thing comes into your head and go crazy with the board. And of course I don't care if its stick Alien 9 people! Just have fun and draw whatever Please do use it though or I may end up taking it down to save database space and resources if noone uses it ^_^;;;.
b) There was an error in accessing the database, so if before you visited the oekaki and got an error please visit again. Everything is fixed.

Also it's great to see that this site is more accessible as it's gradually getting into search engines more. It was my aim to make this place a good resource point for an under-represented series and I'm glad it's providing useful to more people now. A look back on the amount of visitors received:

- A new oekaki (drawing) board has been added as part of a Draw A Borg feature I decided to start. It also has subsequent personality quiz. And once you've drawn a borg you may use it to draw any Alien 9 art you want for this site. Have fun! :D
- New external link added to the Links page. An Alien 9 Live Journal Community! :)
- New wallpaper added kindly provided by Shimaiwa. I should of added this AGES ago, I'm very sorry :(

- Lots of wonderful new fanart, both Internal and External. All the Internal ones were kindly submitted by members of the forum, thanks goes to Zucchini, Dragon9211 and Kumi-chan for allowing me to add these! They can be found in the Fan section.
- New Questions that were sent to me recently for me to answer have now been added to the Info > Questions page. There's now have a total of 14 Questions & Answers :)
- Added a link to the Links Out page which takes you to a Japanese Alien 9 fansite.
- New links to External sites with Alien 9 wallpapers added to the Downloads > Wallpapers page.
- New links to External sites that have photos of Alien 9 cosplayers have been added to the Fan > Cosplay page.

I have added a link to a petition created for fans of Alien Nine and written by Jinshen. The petition is for the continuation of the Alien Nine anime. If you're a fan of the series and would like to make it known that you wish to see more, please take a look. Although it's been some time since the anime's first release, many series out there have enjoyed sequels many years after their first appearance, especially when the creators are in some way open to a continuation (which, last we heard, is the case). For more information please read the petition description. You can find the link to the left (under Affiliates ) and also under the Links (External/Out) section.

- A new piece of wonderful fanart has been added which can be found under the Fan section.
- Added information and cover image of a bonus Japanese Alien 9 DVD which had various material. The information can be found under the Info section on the Anime page.
- Link added to both the Links page and the Fanart page. The link will take you to a fantastic Japanese fansite which lists various fan pages for Alien 9 and hosts various artwork amongst other things.
Forum opened! Plus more fanart & lyrics

- Alien Nine forum opened. It has been requested by some fans that a forum be opened here for discussion and so it has now been made. I hope that it can be a good place for people to easily come together and talk about the series and many other things. It will rely on people's participation as all forums do so I hope to see you all there and please do enjoy it. There are suggestion sections in the forum for people to improve upon the initial structure if you wish. You can also now use the forum to submit feedback about the site/forum or to send me media/info for adding to this main website. Have fun! You can find a link to the forum on the main navigation to the left, it appears on every page.
- New fanart added done by myself which can be found under the Fan section. To be precise though, it is not exactly fanart but an original concept stemming from the Alien 9 props/universe.
- Lyrics section updated. The lyrics for the ending song Rebirth has been extended thanks to Chi who tipped me on the fact that the DVD final episode has a fuller subtitled version of this track which I had forgotten. Thanks!

Updated Voice Actors

I updated the Voice Actors page in the Info section with more information on other roles they played on other anime shows. Some really interesting and famous roles... Such as Yuki from Fruits Basket! (am I really reading that right? It's so surprising XD ) and Kerberos from Card Captor Sakura and Shampoo from Ranma 1/2 and so many others that you wouldn't expect o_o But that's voice acting for you, very versatile people! =)

Hello everyone, sorry for the downtime and lack of news. First my previous webhost went down, then I moved, then I had to move again, then I found I'd lost my news script file, then I found it again and needed to get permissions working on it again. But finally, as you can see, everything is working properly!
So now finally I can update and let you all know about it. So here's what's new:
- A fan of Alien Nine has very kindly submitted a review of the series as a whole for you to check out, it can be found on the Comments & Reviews page: link
- More questions have been submitted and kindly answered by Monami. You can find both the questions and answers here: link
- I have done a special feature on one of the staff who worked on the anime version of Alien 9, the composer Kuniaki Haishima. The feature includes information on him, his other works, a link to his personal website, images and more. It can be found here in the Info section: link
- The Questions page has been renamed to Questions (FAQ) for clarity, you can find this page in the Info section.
- The Comments page has been re-named to Comments & Reviews for clarity and put into two sections so it is easier to find (and because it fits in both areas). The two sections it can be found in are: Info and Fan

Also just dropping a note that I'm still alive, this isn't my ghost posting this! I just have a ton of work to deal with. However if there is anything you would like to see on this site, give me an email. Then when I have chance to update and if it is possible for me to fulfill it I will make your request a priority.
Meanwhile however I am still of course carefully watching the Alien 9 fanlisting and adding members as soon as possible after I receive an application. So far there are a total of 37 members which is fantastic and I look forward to seeing more people join. Thanks to everyone for making this possible.

First of all I should note, my guestbook is fixed now.
Now, the updates:
- Another Fanart from Monami has been added. Thanks again! =)
- I updated the Manga Samples gallery in the Media section. The update includes chapter/contents pages I scanned from the first 3 volumes, and some character images (you will find the images I used in this layout there too ^^ ). Also Monami kindly submitted some 4th volume scans which I have now added.
- Someone sent me some Questions a couple of days ago (thanks again). I've posted them in the Info section, anyone is welcome to submit corrections / opinions / whatever =)

Update List:
- Layout change. Uses images from the manga. Generally made the layout a lot simpler and a little bit abstract as well as changed colours, although the general structure of the site remains the same. Main advantage is the removal of frames making this layout a lot more search engine safe, although I could not do the same for the extensive screenshot gallery (too many pages)
- Cleaned up organisation of some pages (e.g. Adopt page) and improved text styling (changed to CSS).
- New Fanart thanks to Monami. Also noted some Japanese sites with fanart on them.
- Miyu's character section was updated. She has a last name now! Hah. Also, originally like the other sections I just used the official description, 1 measly line. However I have personally extended her description, I felt she deserved more of a say! Poor girl.
- Corrected a typo on the Alien 9 Field (green) wallpaper and some minor ones on a couple of pages.
- The extremely minute My Observations - General bit has been taken down since it felt a bit irrelevant for the series as a whole.
- Changed "Principal" to the exact name of the principal in Info - Voice Actor section
- Capsule Toys moved to Products - Collectibles instead of official images. Pencil Board image added that should of been added before anyway.
- Cleaned up the Terms of Use page and made a jump link menu so that it's easier to read
- Added a photo to the Info - Voice Actors page
- Added a sketch and cels link to the Media - Official Images section and created a jump link menu
- New Logos gallery for the Media Section added
- Added a postcard set to Products - Collectibles page
- Added a new wallpaper to Download - Wallpapers
- Added DVD cover images to Info - Anime section
- Added images to Info - Soundtracks page
- New Cosplay section under Fan
- Re-uploaded screenshots, so hopefully the ones that were messed up are OK now, thanks to Monami for spotting that. I still had some problems uploading the mass of images though so if anyone spots any missing/messed up ones let me know.
2 New Wallpapers

I've just added two new wallpapers I made today. I hope you enjoy them.
The first is available for 800x600 and 1024x768, I had wanted to make it available for a higher resolution but it just wasn't turning out right. The image I had to work with for the field was very small ^^; I had hoped this one would turn out better, but when you've mainly got DVD screencaps to work with, it can be awkward ^^; But still it works well as a wallpaper with the spacing. It features Yuri and Kumi (can you spot her? ^^ ) with quotes from Episode 1.
The second is available for 800x600, 1024x768 and even 1600x1200 this time. It features Kumi, who seems to be the most popular character at the moment from the poll I have going on at my 'approved' Alien 9 fanlisting [link]. It uses DVD screenshots from the birthday scene in Episode 2. I like this one the best so far as I feel it's clean and simple, yet doesn't seem too bland.
Anyway I hope you like them ^^
